I love it that Jensen actually 'gets' who Dean is and understands the character at an intellectual as well as an emotional level. I've been really surprised by how many actors don't actually understand the characters they portray. God, JA so rocks!!!

*nods vigorously* Absolutely. And that understanding is why his performance is always absolutely on the nail, no matter what - he takes that emotional and intellectual understanding into every single scene, and always remembers exactly where Dean is at any given moment. Awesome.

Thanks for posting this - I don't follow many of the fan magazines, but its nice to read articles like this occasionally, since all Entertainment Weekly is willing to give is little blurbs in the "What to Watch" section (I think the "Supernatural" fans scared them a bit).

It's almost ridiculous how excited I get when a magazine over here actually has some kind of feature on the show - even tiny little paragraphs as 'pick of the day' in the TV magazines. A proper interview like this? Heaven.

You're welcome - I don't really follow any magazines, but I do tend to have a quick look at the cult TV mags every now and then just in case there's something that looks interesting. This? This was a 'must buy on the spot'.
