Yeah, it's the poor continuity that really lets this episode down. There's so much strong stuff in there, but a lot of the scenes feel like they were written by different people who each had the same plot outline to work from but didn't refer to one another for the fine detail! And thus we have Bodie going to the Pineapple Club specifically because Morgan's girlfriend works there, and then later being surprised by the connection. It's really sloppy and unecessary, because surely just one good solid edit is all it would have taken to pick up on details like that and smooth them out.

The background detail, once you've got over the logical flaws, is awesome.
