The Royal Welsh Show was hot. Hot, hot, hot.
So much for the weather forecast predicting it would be overcast with possible showers. We had wall-to-wall sunshine all day long, and absolutely baked in our little canvas tent! The only clouds of note that we saw all day were the ones we drove through on the Brecon Beacons first thing in the morning.
We had a good day. Hot and tiring, but good. Dished out lots of leaflets and little knitted toys, and we had enough people on the stand that we all had plenty of time to go wandering off and see the show.
Is it bad that I could spend an entire day at an Agricultural Show and not go near the animals once? I did the stalls instead. Bought a new plant, two new skirts (wearing one now - it is gorgeous!), a hat ('cause it was that hot), a new cricket set for Small...
The journey there and back is always beautiful, travelling up through the Valleys and Powys. The reservoirs don't look too healthy, though. Llwyn Onn is doing better than Cantref, but they are both pretty low. The reserve up by Coed Taf Mawr looked full enough, though.
Having a leisurely morning before heading into work now - got lots of time to claim back.
