That's really interesting, you know. That'd be a tough thing to have, and she'd need to have a lot of awareness about what might happen if she goes to sleep without the ventilator.
I feel bad for the poor girl... I hope that as she gets older her strength does develop to allow her to sleep on her own. And very good luck to Deb and Ray, I really hope they are accepted as guardians, and also hope that they've thought through all the implications of how this girl's condition might inconvenience them (but then again... that's parenthood).
