I've got Small staying over for the weekend. This morning she went to the toilet, didn't flush, and forgot to put the lid down when she'd finished. The cat promptly fell in.
Yeah. That was fun. A valuable learning experience for them both!
Don't have enough thinking time to say anything terribly coherent about the new SN. It was an intriguing episode, with mytharc development sandwiching a case plot stuffed full of parallels and symbolism.
The writers have me sighing with frustration, though, by locating the episode close to Halloween - how did they get there? In AHBL Sam said he was still 23, and we know he'd have turned 24 at the start of May, so it had to be no later than April. Season three opened one week later, and just last week we were told it was only two months on from the devil's gate opening. So...what's up with the timeline, show? I know the writers can't be expected to keep track of every tiny detail, but it is nice to have a coherent sense of time passing - all the more now that we've got Dean on such a definite countdown!
Um. Following the fairytales was cool. I had three little pigs the moment the one builder said something about a gust of wind blowing the house down if they used shoddy materials. Hee. Loads I could say about the parallels and the brothers and how they are reacting to one another, but having Small here makes it a bit tricky to put anything sensible together. It'll all have to wait for the recap later in the week!
