Spring appears to be in the air. I can tell not by the mild weather and emerging blossoms, but because while watering my houseplants this afternoon I noticed that one was looking a bit peaky, and the next thing I knew nearly every plant I own was out the back taking part in a mammoth re-potting merry-go-round! That kind of impulse is a sure sign of spring on the way! I also managed to slice my finger open on a pottery sherd and didn't realise until I noticed I was dripping blood into the plants. I hope they appreciate the extra fertilisation. I also trimmed back the buddleia while I was at it because: spring! But I didn't let myself get too carried away; way too early to be cutting back anything else. That's what Easter is for.
In other news, Sister Mine is still poorly and still waiting to see a consultant, her little cat Jasper got himself run over last week yet miraculously survived with nothing worse than bruising (he had tyre tracks the full length of his body! Talk about nine lives! He is now spaced out on pain meds) while Brother-in-Law has secured a new job and is now chaplain of Bluewater in Kent, well done, R.
Meanwhile in work, my team is suddenly up to full staff complement for the first time in about two years, which strangely takes a bit of getting used to. I'm still busy, but no longer frantic. I keep wondering why I have time to breathe and wonder what I'm not doing and then realise: oh yeah, I'm not doing three jobs any more!
And last but not least: wahey, Triple Crown!
