Okay, so despite the houseguests and hospital visiting, I did manage to get out and about a little bit over Easter weekend - hospitals have restricted visiting hours, after all (on the wards, at least - intensive care lets you come and go pretty much as you please) and the weather was beautiful. On Good Friday morning, I went with the family for a walk through the woods on the Wenallt hill on the outskirts of the city. Our timing was perfect - the bluebells were in full bloom, a good fortnight earlier than they should be. As may be seen in the image above, the little dog Ruby had a wonderful time, bouncing around all over the place!
