1. Chelsea's little Chloe cat - Alfie's mother - went missing over the weekend. We're hoping against hope that she's just got herself locked in somewhere or wandered a bit too far and will find her way home again. She is microchipped and has a collar with an ID tag, so you would hope that if she was injured (or worse) someone would have got in touch. Ginger is missing her terribly - he has never been separated from his mother before - and Chelsea is distraught. Fingers crossed we at least find out what happened to her sooner rather than later.
2. Before Chloe's disappearance, Ginger got himself into disgrace after being found cwtched up to a headless pigeon in the dining room! Makes me glad Alfie has yet to graduate from worms...
3. The insurance company have brought in specialist fire damage cleaners to work at the chapel. With any luck they should be finished cleaning by the end of the week. Then the rest of the work can begin - installing a new boiler, redoing the wiring, repainting walls and ceilings and replacing everything else that was damaged or destroyed.
4. Chelsea's placement at the Amelia Trust Farm has been agreed and will start in June, one day a week. It sounds excellent. She'll be working on animal care in the morning and then other activities in the afternoon (they can chose from sports, pottery, woodwork etc) plus will get a head start on her year 10 syllabus, as well as having specialist support staff on hand if she has any problems or worries. Fingers crossed it all runs smoothly and works out as well as we hope.
