1. On my way home last night I called into Home Bargains to pick up some bits and bobs. While I was queuing at the till, a kid standing right behind me managed to drop a can of coke, which pretty much exploded when it hit the floor. Icky, sticky coke everywhere - all over me and various other shoppers, all over our shopping, all over the shop... Yeah, that was fun.

2. Got home to find my electricity bill had arrived. This was not a problem in itself, except that I had already packed my cheque book and so had to rifle through a stack of boxes until I found it. Yeah, that was fun, too. Still, I liked the bit where they admitted they had been overcharging me scandalously and knocked a good £100 off the bill!

3. Big Sis has her appointment with the consultant next Wednesday. Fingers crossed.

4. Just found a pigeon's nest out on the fire escape, neatly tucked away under one of the steps, two eggs in it and a mother pigeon lurking warily nearby. So cute! Must keep an eye on it and see if the eggs actually hatch - while trying not to scare the mother away, of course.

5. Went through the cupboard I have been avoiding last night. Filled two and a half green recycling bags and a black bin bag. Throwing away junk is very therapeutic!
