Bloody f-ing hell.

So this morning I got out of the shower, wrapped up in a towel and dressing gown, went into my bedroom to get dressed, turned around...and saw a red shape at the back door. Thought 'how odd' and wondered what could be causing this reflection, but then it moved. Not a reflection. Someone standing right outside my back door looking in, who rather languidly moved away when he saw me looking back.

Didn't flip out and hide till he was gone this time. Went straight into the kitchen and watched him walk away. And he turned and saw me watching him walk away, and smirked, and I was furious. And had an actual description this time. Middle-aged. White/grey hair. Small round face. Wearing red.

Got straight on the phone to the police, who immediately said they would send a patrol car around to lurk in the area.

And all this before 7am.

And that damn security light out the back? Doesn't come on after about 4am, still. The motion detector works great, but the thing is completely useless at the time I actually need it, which is when I'm getting myself up, showered and dressed first thing in the morning. It is still dark till almost 8am at this time of year, and when it is dark outside and you have a light on in the house, the windows turn into mirrors. You can't see a thing through them. There could be anyone out there, and you wouldn't see them. That's why the security light is needed!

So, first item on today's agenda: get on the phone to the landlord! Again.

Am now both furious and freaked. Fantastic way to start the week.

The sooner I can move out of here, the better.
