Dec. 14th, 2008 08:56 pmLong day. Stupid lurgy still not gone. Need sleep.
We had our Sunday School nativity play this evening. The kids were brilliant. They looked gorgeous and behaved beautifully. I feel all festive now. Tired, but festive.
However, it is always rather a bad moment when one of the little ones comes and cwtches in your lap and you look down and see that they are absolutely crawling with headlice... Ick.
Also today, I went to the hospital to visit my aunt, who has managed to develop pneumonia for about the 5th time. She looked better than I expected - better than she did last time I saw her, in fact, when she'd just had a nasty fall and looked quite shaken and run down. Whatever they are doing for her is working, clearly.
It seems to be the weekend for hospitals, as my Big Sis spent yesterday morning in A&E. One of the autistic children she teaches had hammered on her arm and it swelled up like a balloon. It isn't broken, but apparently she's got a built-up of fluid between the muscle and bone, which doesn't sound too pleasant. The doctor signed her off sick for a couple of days, but hopefully she'll still be okay too drive down for Christmas. If not, Brother-in-Law will just have to handle driving duties!
