1. My knees have been very stiff lately. Old age is setting in!

2. Olympics. Every morning for days now I have turned the TV on only to find synchronised diving. It seems to be going on forever. And I mean, honestly - it's two men jumping off a diving board. How many categories could there possibly be?! Madness.

3. My sister and her husband seem to have had a wonderful holiday in South Africa. I'm really glad, after everything they've been through and all the hassle surrounding the trip. D has posted something like 200 pics to her facebook, and some of them are absolutely stunning.

Makes me really envious and want to see South Africa for myself!

4. Miracle of miracles, the sun is actually shining today. You'd almost believe it was summer! This week has mostly felt like October. Or maybe March. It certainly hasn't been August! After getting soaked more than once, I've found myself fighting off a cold, which is annoying. Hopefully we will have at least a few nice days when I'm on my hols the week after next.

5. I really want to buy books to take on holiday. But my budget says no. I will have to make do with whatever is on my shelf.

6. My internet connection still sucks. I really do hate Virgin Media. And yahoo mail still doesn't know the difference between 'previous' and 'next' - I'm not sure it ever will. Bah.

7. So, I go to do the vaccuuming and realise that the machine isn't really picking anything up. Bag needs changing. Toss old bag...and then realise I don't have a replacement that fits.

Where the heck do you buy vaccuum cleaner bags?
