of cats and insanity
Jul. 12th, 2005 07:27 pmSo this morning, the cat played her usual trick of caterwauling until I let her in. I thought perhaps I was safe - the window-clambering trick was a one-off. I gave her breakfast, and when it was time for work I took her out with me. She wasn't best pleased about that, but I told her it was tough. She couldn't stay in the house all day without me there.
So, after work, I came home. Opened the door, and there was the cat - curled up on the back of my armchair having let herself in while I was out. Great. I really will never be rid of her. I can't leave the window closed all day - the house would be totally airless when I got home.
I opened the back door. She's been in and out a few times ever since, in between nesting on my lap. And now? Right now she's actually lying draped in the open window, on a ledge about an inch wide more than five feet off the ground, watching the world go by. Honestly!
