fun in the sun
Jun. 29th, 2005 07:15 pmGetting home from work tonight was fun...not. I haven't seen the centre so jammed since Grand Slam matchday last - both road and pavement. There were people just standing around in groups, blocking the entire pavement, with me seething behind them all, 'I'm trying to get home! Let me go home!'
Halfway home I remembered. U2 concert tonight. We had to cancel a project meeting in work tomorrow because our staff from the sticks could find neither a room at the inn nor a seat on the train.
In other news, after the storms of last night, today we had glorious sunshine all day, which was completely not what was forecast. I (and other adults, I hasten to add) am taking a bunch of kids from Sunday School to the beach at Barry Island all day on Saturday. Half of me is hoping for a day like this, so they can all have fun. The other half is praying for rain so we can cancel...
What? I love kids. Almost really.
