Not best pleased about being woken up at around 4.30am by a tremendous thunder storm right above my house. Now, I quite like a good storm in its place, but 4.30am is not that place - and I especially don't appreciate the storm then continuing to roll around making appalling noise for the following three hours, thus preventing me getting back to sleep at all.

Shall now be sleepy all day.

ETA according to the news at least two houses in South Wales (Swansea and Barry) have been struck by lightning this morning. Glad mine wasn't one of them!

And my old office is now...a police station. So is reception, again. It is very funny to go upstairs and see the room where I used to work kitted out as a police station, but not as funny as seeing all the police gear and notices all around reception. I assume Pobol y Cwm are filming again today - they have a new character who is a plain clothes detective, so presumably all this is to give him a place of work.

It gives me a feeling of faux security, to have all the police kit scattered around. It is very surreal.

In other news, the storms continue to rage. The thunder and lightning seems to be finished for now, but we still have torrential rain. It is on days like this that a car and driver's licence would be handy. I had to bring a complete change of clothes in with me today, and changed as soon as I got in. I was soaked to the skin - I'm now drying the gear I walked in off with the fan, in hopes it may be dry again eventually. Nasty, horrible day. I can cope with rain, and I can cope with heat, but not together. Bah.
