My colleagues from the other attic just came running in to tell me that David Suchet is filming in Cardiff for Doctor Who today, so they are now convinced that if only I'd gone home yesterday afternoon I'd have met him! I suspect it was just a doorstep scene for Casualty, though, so if I had gone home I'd have just spent two hours watching someone get loaded into an ambulance, or something!

Alas, Chelsea and Jamie have separated - Chelsea is struggling badly at the moment, her autism coming together with a touch of post-natal depression to send her spiralling. We are all really worried about her. But thanks in the main to my wonderful mother, who does the bulk of the childcare, Layla-May remains happy and healthy and unaffected by these problems (although she's going to notice more and more as she gets older). That baby is always happy - even when she is in pain with her teeth, even when she isn't well, she still tries to smile and laugh! She's the most good-natured child I have ever encountered. Goodness knows how, both of her parents are pretty moody, really. She also adores books, whereas neither of them reads at all - we've told them two negatives make a positive!
