Today we took our Sunday School to the park and spent the afternoon playing football and cricket in the rain. You know, as you do. Because Great British Summer.
Oh, this was very definitely We Will Have This Picnic If It Kills Us territory - adults huddled shivering under a gazebo we took along specially (trying to take it down again was when I really got wet, in fact), while the kids had an absolute blast running around like so many lunatics and cared not a jot about the weather!
I shouldn't complain. It was dry for the first hour, drizzled slightly for the second, and only then did the heavens truly open...
