Walking to work this morning, I passed a couple of very bedraggled looking pigeons, squatting in a muddy little puddle having a wash. As I passed, they froze and turned upon me identical expressions of outrage, all 'Do you mind? We're in the bath!' Heh.

Finally got around to having the film developed in my camera, and it turned out it went all the way back to last October. It'll probably be next Christmas before I finish the new film and get to see the rest of the pictures I took at the Wenallt last month, but here's one to prove that it was springlike and sunny for a while there!

Also on the film were a couple of snaps of Small after she'd raided my wardrobe one day while sleeping over. That's my t-shirt and skirt she's wearing here! Worse still, they fit! And she was still only 10 at the time...

Cute picture of my poor little Calico cat, looking a little bit hangdog because she's been caught trying to make a bed among the gifts under the Christmas tree again.

I still find myself guarding any biscuits I go to eat at my Mum's house, expecting that cat to appear out of nowhere to try and steal them from me. Here she is again with Deb and Ray, included because it's a nice picture of them - asleep on someone's lap, it really didn't matter who, was how Calico spent the entire Christmas period, when she wasn't under the tree. The ceramic cat we bought as a gravemarker for her is in this exact position. Perfect.

And here is the other cat, Chess, who can't get over how well she's eating since we lost Calico - she never used to get anywhere near the nicest food. Calico always got in there first and hoovered it all down (not that any of it stayed down). Chess doesn't like being around people, which was always a disadvantage in the competition for food. She does a lot better now that the competition is gone. I'm really pleased that I got this snap of her - she doesn't usually stay still long enough for anyone to take a decent photograph.

And...I'll stop there, I think. Enough pics for one day!

Last Thursday I arrived in the office to find that the carpet at the entrance to the corridor leading to my office was completely saturated. Water leak, I was told. All that day the lights in my room kept flickering, so - discounting vengeful spirits of any kind *G* - I came to the conclusion that the whole building was either going to burn down or collapse. It turned out that the ceiling in an office upstairs did collapse that day, due to water leaking through from our very dodgy roof. So I decided that my initial assessment was completely right: the building really is going to either burn down or collapse, possibly both. I just hope I'm not here when it happens! That carpet is still damp even now, days later.

Such is life in the voluntary sector, I'm afraid!

How nice to see someone else's piccies! The bluebells are wonderful - I love the logs in the foreground, really give it depth. And your clothes suit Small - this is where you start to lose stuff, I should think!
How nice to have those last shots of Calico, you can see she was a poorly old lady by then, can't you? But still loved. What a nice idea to have a ceramic grave marker - we have usually planted a shrub but I like this idea. And Chess looks very handsome. We have part shares in an antisocial cat, too. I sometimes wonder what will happen when my two old ladies go and whether he will spend more time at home then.
Your office leak problems sound awful - hope the leaks stop, the carpets dry out soon - and that you don't then get that awful mouldy smell you sometimes get.

That was a really pretty day up on the Wenallt - I took loads of pictures, although as I said, they probably won't get developed till next Christmas now! I really need a digital camera for the instant gratification...

Yep, Calico was a very poorly old girl already at Christmas - it was last summer that she really started to go downhill. We wondered if Chess might start to socialise more once she was gone, but not as of yet. Chess likes to know that people are around - if the house is quiet she'll wander downstairs just to see where everyone is and what they are doing. But that doesn't mean she actually wants to be in the same room as anyone, or be picked up, or even looked at! Very odd cat.

Heeee!

Lovely bluebell picture - and skirt-stolen-by-Small!

Skirt-stolen-by-Small is one of my current favourites, bought at the Royal Welsh Show in Llanelwedd last summer, on one of the stalls. I don't wear skirts often, but I love how feminine they feel when I do! So I'm going to have to guard my wardrobe a little more carefully in future, as the girl continues to grow.

LOL @ the happy snaps of Small. That skirt is lovely.

Maybe Calico was trying to get into the tardis! ;p

Chess is really pretty, as was Calico who reminds me of my childhood cat Sheba.

Dixie curls up like Calico when she is on Dood's lap. "I have the most comfortable spot in the house".

Thanks for sharing your happy pics.

ROFL! Hehe, the little things in life eh?

Eesh, hope they get some serious repairs done at that office of yours!
