Some pics from the rhododendron walk at Bowood House Gardens:

That pretty little cottage at the end isn't Bowood House, of course, merely a lodge within its grounds. I'd seen signs for Bowood many times while travelling up and down the M4 but had never visited - I'd no idea it was such a huge place! We only took in the rhododendron walk - maybe we'll go around the rest some other time. It'd need an entire day, though!

Oh lovely - and the bluebells, stretching away!

And it was still early for bluebells that weekend - I spent last Saturday up on the Wenallt Hill just outside Cardiff, positively carpeted with them. Must get those pics off the camera for posting.

Bowood was lovely - and we only saw a fraction of it. Must go again someday and do the rest.

This is the perfect time of year for visiting gardens - everything is so fresh and green in spring!

Given the state of the world ... the wars ... the mass migrations ... the droughts ... it is so refreshing to see such natural beauty.

I barely even knew it existed - it was just a sign we'd seen along the M4. And then it's this huge place with these gorgeous gardens!
