I didn't view her family as who we saw in the LEAF episode ... she was born to save the Doctor so dies and comes back with another family. Very wibbly wimey timey stuff.
But this is the original Clara, the same Clara whose parents were brought together by that dratted magical leaf - and she wasn't born to save the Doctor, whatever the hyperbolic language used in that episode might claim. Her splinter selves were created for that purpose, sure, but this Clara, the original, is an ordinary human being who chose to risk her life to save the Doctor. And the family we saw her with at Christmas dinner could have done with a bit more explanation.

I can work out plots. I followed this one just fine, I just don't think it holds water. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though. :)
