I looked at my Doctor Who shelf the other day and realised that I now own a complete run of the first two seasons, every available serial (including The Crusades via Lost in Time). I think I might have a First Doctor problem! The only other complete (classic) season I own is 12 because: Four, Sarah and Harry. It's weird because I found the First Doctor serials so hard-going when I first tried to watch them, even though I already knew the stories pretty well from the novelisations. But then I slowly got attached to the characters and the style became more normal to me, and then when I re-watched the episodes in sequence, I just whizzed through them! Didn't need any extra patience or forbearance at all (which is good, I can keep it all for the Three era, which I still struggle with...)
