I watched Game of Thrones for the first time when galathea_snb and nikkimisplaced were staying with me the summer before last - they were both huge fans and we marathoned the entire show in a couple of evenings during the week. It was an intense experience, but watching at that pace I had absolutely no idea who anyone was or what was happening! It really is so much easier to follow the second time around.
