I've been round them all a bunch of times, yes. And my cousin is the manager of the local Cash Generator store, so I was able to tell him the full story and give him a description of my stuff. He said he'd look out for it and ask around. But there's been no sign. If I could just get my aunt's necklace back, I'd be satisfied just with that. Her husband bought her that necklace when she miscarried their only child, who would have been the same age as me, which was why I was named after her - when she died, her husband gave me the necklace because he said it was the most special thing he could think of for me to have, because I was her namesake, the baby she'd never had. I've always treasured it for her sake and now it's gone. :(
I've had a binge on ebay, picking up bits and pieces that look pretty and/or interesting, in a bid to make myself feel less cross about my stuff that was stolen. But nothing I buy for myself can ever be as special as that necklace that I inherited, or all the other bits and pieces that I was given for birthdays and Christmases. I just hope they find the bastard in the end.
...I also hope my insurance comes through soon to pay for that ebay binge!
