"Can't you just feel the evil pagan vibe?"
Man. This recap came to 28 pages, and I'm fairly certain I could still think of more to say if I put my mind to it!
So, below find the link to my ramblings, which include meta-ish thoughts on just why the brothers have such differing outlooks on the memories of their childhood, the impact of John's regular absences upon them both as children, Wee!Sam's need to know the truth versus Wee!Dean's need to shelter him from it, the awesomeness of Bobby even when not seen on-screen, how good the brothers look in suits (what? I can do shallow as well as deep and meaningful!), pagan folklore and the assimilation of pagan rituals into the Christian tradition (hey, I'm a medievalist by training, so that one's practically my specialist subject!), the elastic timeline of this season, the trauma of Sam's discovery of the truth and loneliness of Dean's role as guardian, why it's relatively easy to defeat a pagan god (hee!), the significance of the amulet, and the sheer beauty of that final scene.
And lots more beside. To read the recap, click the link below!

Merry Christmas
