Calico cats seem to be a special _type_ of critter, and it's not just the colouring that marks them. The ones I've known, or known about, have seemed more 'aware' somehow, more psychic (perhaps) and able to tune into human feelings. I know you and your family will miss her deeply, but if Small needs to talk to her about Life and such, she can go sit by Calico's tree and know her spirit is there to listen.
