She knows her life history - that was impossible to avoid, as she was almost four by the time the adoption went through and my parents made the decision to be completely honest with her from the start. She knows as much as she needs to - and probably more than she should, thanks to her habit of doing things like reading 'no smoking' signs, asking questions about them and then going away and thinking about this new information, applying it to herself, and then coming back and asking if her birth mummy used to smoke...

She has no memory of her birth father - hasn't seen him since she was a year old (apart from that incident four years ago with his new abd by now probably ex wife). She remembers more about her birth mother, because she was still having intermitten contact up to the age of three, and she has a horribly long memory.
