Walking to work this morning, I passed a couple of very bedraggled looking pigeons, squatting in a muddy little puddle having a wash. As I passed, they froze and turned upon me identical expressions of outrage, all 'Do you mind? We're in the bath!' Heh.
Finally got around to having the film developed in my camera, and it turned out it went all the way back to last October. It'll probably be next Christmas before I finish the new film and get to see the rest of the pictures I took at the Wenallt last month, but here's one to prove that it was springlike and sunny for a while there!

Also on the film were a couple of snaps of Small after she'd raided my wardrobe one day while sleeping over. That's my t-shirt and skirt she's wearing here! Worse still, they fit! And she was still only 10 at the time...

Cute picture of my poor little Calico cat, looking a little bit hangdog because she's been caught trying to make a bed among the gifts under the Christmas tree again.

I still find myself guarding any biscuits I go to eat at my Mum's house, expecting that cat to appear out of nowhere to try and steal them from me. Here she is again with Deb and Ray, included because it's a nice picture of them - asleep on someone's lap, it really didn't matter who, was how Calico spent the entire Christmas period, when she wasn't under the tree. The ceramic cat we bought as a gravemarker for her is in this exact position. Perfect.

And here is the other cat, Chess, who can't get over how well she's eating since we lost Calico - she never used to get anywhere near the nicest food. Calico always got in there first and hoovered it all down (not that any of it stayed down). Chess doesn't like being around people, which was always a disadvantage in the competition for food. She does a lot better now that the competition is gone. I'm really pleased that I got this snap of her - she doesn't usually stay still long enough for anyone to take a decent photograph.

And...I'll stop there, I think. Enough pics for one day!
Last Thursday I arrived in the office to find that the carpet at the entrance to the corridor leading to my office was completely saturated. Water leak, I was told. All that day the lights in my room kept flickering, so - discounting vengeful spirits of any kind *G* - I came to the conclusion that the whole building was either going to burn down or collapse. It turned out that the ceiling in an office upstairs did collapse that day, due to water leaking through from our very dodgy roof. So I decided that my initial assessment was completely right: the building really is going to either burn down or collapse, possibly both. I just hope I'm not here when it happens! That carpet is still damp even now, days later.
Such is life in the voluntary sector, I'm afraid!
