summer, summer, where are thou, summer?

So. Today in Cardiff we are featuring April weather. And I have had to concede defeat and put a support strapping on my gammy ankle, which doesn't react well to changes in the weather.

I had been getting a bit concerned about my Izzy cat, having not seen her for over a week, but she has now turned up again, like a bad penny. Not the slightest bit interested in me, of course - she just likes to use my flat as a thoroughfare to get upstairs. *g*

Little Sis is now in the middle of her week away at summer camp, and by all accounts is having a great time, thank goodness. We (mum and I) were a little concerned that she was too young, as she is very young for her age. But she seems to be coping okay, and enjoying the experience.

Tomorrow, I'm having a morning off work to go shopping. With my cousin R's wedding in little over a week, I'm getting desperate. My mother is making me a skirt, but I've got to find a top to go with it, and the colour is proving tricky to match in a style that suits me. Grr. I hate clothes shopping.

Ahem

Tonight I went to my friend's house, and while we were there a police van pulled up opposite and a burly female cop and her male partner got out. They approached the house opposite, which we know perfectly well is an, ahem, house of ill repute, shall we say. They went in, and the madam who'd opened the door for them then locked it after them. It was all very intriguing, but alas we then had to go cook our meal and by the time we returned to the front lounge the cops had gone, so we were none the wiser about why they'd called.

That house has been the source of much entertainment, over the months...
