It's great to hear how you're doing, Jo! It sounds like there's an awful lot going on. I'm really glad that Layla-Mae has been able to see you again -- I think the lockdown has been particularly hard on young children, who can't really understand why they're suddenly unable to see loved ones. The adoption process for your sister sounds so terrible: really dramatically awful in so many ways. I wish social workers could spend their time actually helping children who are in danger, rather than nitpicking at the parents who are doing a good job. But it's great that the children are finally with a family, and are able to relax and grow.
It's exciting that you've seen so many species in your garden! I really appreciate having the time to sit in my garden too and see various different species on the flowers. I've really enjoyed the tranquility over the last few months.
