Okay. Today I have: finally completed the Very Long Fic I’ve been working on forever (now comes the re-draft), catalogued most although not all of the jewellery I’ve made over the last year or so, weeded the borders, made up a batch of chemical-free home-made pesticide (i.e. garlic water) to apply to my roses, watered anti-slug and vine weevil nematodes into the entire garden, cooked up a hefty supply of pasta to portion up in the freezer to keep me going, altered a skirt and mended two pairs of leggings.

Not bad for a Saturday at home!

Lol, I wish I could be as productive as you! :p Interesting about the pesticide--do you use garlic powder or bulbs? And I didn't realize you make jewelry!

I was impressed with myself - I'm usually much lazier on a Saturday!

Oh, fresh garlic bulbs, not powder. Chop 'em up, stick 'em in a bowl, add boiling water and leave to steep for a few hours, strain into pump spray bottle, dilute a little - you can add a spoonful of vegetable oil or a drop or two of dish-washing soap (preferably potash-based, so it isn't too astringent for the plants) - and voila! You are good to go.

And yeah, I've been jewellery-making for nearly two years now - I find it a nice relaxing hobby. Building up quite a stockpile though, and I can't palm it all off on relatives for birthdays and Christmas! I really need to get organised and find myself a suitable outlet.
