Hmm. Sat down and worked out the page counts for my Monico series so far. It adds up thus:

Starting Over – 32
University Daze – 51
In Confidence – 29
Revelations – 33
Shot in the Dark – 20
Hunted – 41
Sink or Swim – 47
Rose – 49
My Brother's Keeper – 31
Auld Lang Syne – 42
Grudge Match – 50
Once Upon A Time – 60
Malignancy – 43
Nemesis Part I – 35
Nemesis Part II – 40

All of which adds up to:

Total = 603 pages

Yikes. And, not bad.

The next installment of my ongoing series, Tales from the Monico, is finished at last:

Nemesis Part II

So, with this new story I'm also officially launching my new website, designed and hosted by the lovely Rosely at Liquid Deception:

Publish and be Damned

Not everything from the old site has been moved across yet, so I'll keep it up for a bit longer, but most of the content has been transferred now.

Have decided that what I enjoy most about writing my VS is that I'm writing it for me, and can therefore play about with stupid little details that no one else would notice. Like having a couple of the minor guest characters involved in a very stormy, on-off relationship for months without ever having them in a scene together. Their entire relationship is conducted off-screen, with its progress charted by random, throwaway comments the others make every now and then....

I worry myself sometimes. *G*

After writing this story faster than I think I've ever managed before, and fiddling with it and tweaking it enough to drive me to distraction (because Sue had such good suggestions that just had to be incorporated somehow - although mostly in the second part, I think), I decided the only way to get it off my hands was to just post it. So I have:

Nemesis Part I is now posted, and I can move on to the next installment!

Hallelujah

Finally persuaded myself to stop tweaking the story and just publish already.

Once Upon a Time - the latest in my Oz spin-off series, is now live.

Story 12 of my Monico series ia very nearly complete, at long last. The bones of it, at least - I seem to have left myself an awful lot of little notes throughout, which means there's a lot of tidying up to be done!

I also seem to have allowed myself to get a bit carried away with the backstory exposition toward the end. That might need a bit of pruning, later. I'll see how it shapes up.

And yesterday I was also hit by a sudden and random Pros plot bunny, which hasn't happened for a long time. I scribbled down the basics, but whether or not I'll get it written out properly in time for New Year, which is what the bunny was for, is another matter entirely.

Must also get the beta done for Farah that I've promised her I'd do this week.

Have just been totting up my Virtual Season, Tales from the Monico.

There are currently eleven completed episodes, of varying lengths and levels of clumsiness. Those eleven stories add up to 420 pages and 176,202 words.

I'm reasonably impressed with myself.

Episode twelve is part-way through part three and currently stands at 40 pages and 18,039 words. In theory there will be seventeen episodes in Phase One by the time I finally get them all complete. That's not bad going!
